Tooth Whitening
Tooth whitening is a safe and effective way to lighten and brighten your teeth if performed by a dentist using clinically tested and proven products.
Tooth discolorations are common and if you are not happy with the colour of your teeth or lack that sparkle, we are here to help you.
It is best to have a dental check-up prior to tooth whitening, as you may have cavities and worn enamel or sensitive teeth or gums. Our doctors will need to address these issues before tooth whitening. |
If you have sensitive gums or teeth, we will prescribe a protective gel to be applied a few weeks before the whitening procedure.
Feel free to consult us as to which whitening system suits you best. Note: Dentist should be the one to advise and patient’s pocket decides. |

Scaling and Polishing |

Scaling and Polishing
Scaling and polishing is a 6-monthly routine treatment recommended for you to maintain healthy teeth and gums as most patients are not able to keep their teeth 100% clean. |
As we eat and drink, food and bacteria accumulate on the surface of the teeth and eventually form a film known as plaque. Over time, the dental plaque hardens to become tartar which adheres onto the tooth surface. If left alone it will lead to dental problems like bleeding gums or even cavities.
The scaling process loosens and removes the built-up tartar and polishing cleans away surface stains, leaving your teeth smooth and clean. |

Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is a procedure used to save a severely infected or badly decayed tooth which often causes severe toothache, pain on biting or even swollen gums near the problem tooth. If root canal treatment is not done, the tooth will need to be extracted to solve the problem. |
During treatment, the infected pulp tissues are removed. The root canal is then thoroughly cleaned and shaped before it is sealed with a root filling.
Most root canal treated teeth will need a dental crown as the tooth structure is weakened and more prone to fracture.
At the end of treatment, the tooth will be able to function like a normal tooth. |

Most mild gum problems like blood on the toothbrush, red swollen gums or even bad breath are resolved by scaling and polishing.
If the gum problems persist then gum treatment like deep root cleaning is needed to remove the bacterial plaque and hard tartar formed below the gum line. |
Gum contouring is a surgical procedure to shape the gum and change the margins of the gum to show more or less tooth. Some teeth look too short and others look too long.
Gum contouring improves the aesthetics of one’s smile or helps to reduce root sensitivity in the case of receding gums. |

Inlay and Onlays |

Inlays and Onlays
Dental inlays or onlays are indicated when a cavity is too large for a regular filling but not too broken down to warrant a crown.
Inlays or onlays last longer and stronger because they are fabricated outside the mouth (laboratory or milling machine) customized to fit exactly into each tooth cavity and bonded onto the tooth structure. They do not fracture even after many years. |
There are different types of inlays or onlay materials like ceramics, composites or even gold.
Nowadays patients choose tooth coloured inlays or onlays for aesthetics and function. |

Dental Veneers |
Dental Veneers (Porcelain)
Veneers are thin porcelain (custom made) or composite shells (preformed) that are bonded onto the tooth surface. |
Having veneers is a quick way to conceal certain teeth imperfections like chipped tooth, mild teeth crowding, gaps between teeth and discoloured teeth.
Having veneers is considered a cosmetic procedure to improve the appearance of your smile. |

Wisdom Tooth Treatment
Wisdom teeth are the last teeth to come out right at the back of the mouth, making it very difficult to keep clean resulting in gum diseases and cavities. Some grow out normally while others come out at an angle and get stuck (impacted). They can put pressure on other teeth which affect teeth alignment too. |
Wisdom tooth removal is normally recommended to prevent infection or damage to the tooth next to it. When there is an infection it is usually painful, swollen and you cannot open your mouth properly.
The position and state of the wisdom tooth need to be assessed with an x-ray and your dentist will determine whether a regular extraction or surgery is required. |

A child’s teeth are important for them to look good and eat properly. Healthy milk teeth keep the spaces for the permanent teeth to emerge.
Early and regular dental check-ups are important to help keep the child’s teeth in good health. |

We work with personal dedication and patience to ensure a pleasant experience that will ease your child’s fear and anxiety towards dental visits. |

Dentures
Dentures are removable prosthesis that replace missing teeth for patients with a limited budget who cannot afford fixed prosthesis like implants and bridges.
We have many different types of dentures to meet patients’ individual needs. High impact acrylic dentures, flexible base dentures (ThermoSens, Valpast) and metal base dentures. |
If your denture is not stable and loose, due to excessive reduction of the jawbone after the loss of teeth or having inadequate number natural teeth to hold it in place, dental implants are very effective for stabilization of dentures during chewing of food. |

Crown and Bridge
A dental crown or commonly known as a dental cap provides the protective cover for a badly damaged tooth, a root canal treated tooth or even a cracked tooth where the crack does not involve the root.
Sometimes, a tooth is so damaged by decay that a normal filling will not be able to restore its strength. |
A crown covers the entire tooth surface thus restoring its original size, shape and appearance.
There are many different types of crowns:
- Metal crowns
- Porcelain fused to metal crowns
- All-ceramic crowns
- All-resin crowns
Our dentists will be able to help you make the best selection depending upon aesthetics, functional loading or budget considerations |
